Games on PS6: Launch Lineup and Most Anticipated Titles
Author: Martin Pavlič / / Updated:
What will you play on day one? Sony has not announced an official lineup, but studio timelines let us map a realistic starter.
PS6 is expected to launch with enhanced cross-gen hits (including GTA 6), first true next-gen exclusives from PlayStation Studios, and thousands of PS4/PS5 games via backwards compatibility on day one.
Likely buckets
- Cross-gen best sellers: GTA 6 enhanced, Horizon, Call of Duty via continuity.
- True next-gen exclusives: Built for 30+ TFLOPS and PSSR (see exclusive games).
- Rumor to watch: a standalone Venom game from Insomniac is a credible PS6-window candidate for 2027+, arriving after Wolverine (see exclusive games).
- Library via backwards compatibility: Entire catalog carried forward, auto-enhanced.

Will GTA 6 be enhanced on PS6?
Yes, almost certainly: GTA 6 is expected to be the definitive PS6 showcase with 4K 60 FPS and fuller ray tracing, versus 30 FPS compromises expected on PS5. Rockstar has not confirmed a PS6 edition, but the PS5 to PS6 path mirrors the GTA 5 upgrade playbook. Full breakdown in GTA 6 on PS6.
